this has been a very good 2 or 3 days. :)

sunday:
1. bought my beautiful, beautiful laptop.
2. hung christmas decorations up at the pub! *bounce* fun fun fun!
3. actually got tipped quite a fair bit, which hasn't happened in a while.
4. a few of my favourite customers came in, also whom i haven't seen in ages.
5. staff party.

the staff party was alright, after it finally started, though i do wish i hadn't drunk quite so much. *makes slight face* mornings after suck. but we were supposed to close early, at like midnight, but because of the fucking man u - chelsea match, which people actually bothered to come in to watch (*rolls eyes*), i had to work an extra 2 hours, while the rest of the staff that weren't working that day started on the drinking. lol. but it was free flow, which was a pleasant surprise, and i realised that i really prefer my boss when he's half drunk. heh. spent an hour or so flipping coasters with him (don't ask), and he really is a much nicer guy (though not -nice-, mind you) when he's half gone. the shots he mixed for us weren't bad either. but the one with melted mars bar chocolate with vodka was *chokes* very thick, and very sweet. and he made me drink that out of a half full normal glass, while i was still working. sort of like:

him: Lianne, here, drink that, now.
me: *warily* what is it?
him: you like chocolate, don't you? Just drink it. All of it.
me: *peers suspiciously* this is some kind of test of trust isn't it?

heh. and the sight of mirza dirty dancing with erm.. himself round the pool table, while wearing his new boxers over his shorts, (one just has to be thankful that they weren't over his head), has quite surely scarred me for life. lol. he left still wearing them. *pained look* oh wells. finally left at 7am or so. and had 3 hours sleep before being rudely awakened by the parental unit. again. sigh.

and i met my techie-geeky cuzzie, mel, and we wandered around sim lim square for 5 hours or so, comparing camera prices and router prices and goodness knows what else, and didn't get anything except for a pair of headphones for her. lol. couldn't bring my baby back yet, have to wait for another day or so. *sigh* hoping to talk to my bro soon so that when i go back there to collect it i can get my digital camera as well. have my eye on the canon ixus i. though topping up the birthday gift from him so that i can get it isn't quite so feasible since i'm paying $1300 for my laptop, that being the difference between the price of the iBook, which my mum would have gotten me, and the Powerbook G4, which is what i wanted. oh wells. will try anyway. cos i really want a camera for the chrissie season, since it might well be my last one here for a bit. and if he wants to wait til he comes, which is in february, and i get it just in time to leave... it's kinda silly really. lol.

been playing neopets games with her all day today. *muhaha* i'm regressing.
